Personally, I've started just pushing out, cleaning and lubricating the pistons before I even touch a bleed port, really helps with getting a consistent lever feel and smooths out the process if you have to chase out any bubbles from behind the pistons during the bleed. I get the left side, but what did the right side ever do to you? Posts need not be serious, but must be related in some way to working on bicycles, even if it's just a chain tool in the background of your cute cat picture.
